One of our team came across this Burns App that was developed by a PhD student at The Unviersity of Manchester. It allows for quick and accurate calculations of a patient’s fluid requirements after serious burns. The development won a £5,000 prize at the NHS North West Health Innovation and Education Cluster Excellence in Innovation Awards 2011 this month. You can see a movie of the app in action here.
